Tom Fenner is the Community & Military Liaison for Hospice of the Valley.

 

Tom was born in Chicago, IL and his family moved to the Phoenix area in 1960.  He graduated from Arcadia High School in 1969 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve.  During his active duty, he served in Vietnam aboard the U.S. Navy Hospital Ship Sanctuary (AH-17) as a Machinist Mate.

 

After active duty, Tom returned to Phoenix and attended Arizona State University.  Tom worked for over 20 years in sales to the construction and mining industries.  He also worked for the American Red Cross coordinating both blood drives and health and safety training.

 

Tom volunteers as the Chairman of the Military / Veteran Affairs Committee for the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce.  He has received several awards for his public speaking talent, including the Dale Carnegie Highest Award for Achievement, and the Speaker of the Year Award from the Valley of the Sun United Way.  He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Mountain States Chapter.  He has also received the Member of the Year Award from the West Valley Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, and the Wayne Farnsworth Award for Community Service from the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce.

 

He lives in Peoria with his wife, Linda, who is a RN with Hospice of the Valley and their Harrier dog, Boz.

 

 

Todd Fisher retired from the Navy as a Rear Admiral, Medical Service Corps in 2000. During his 35 year Navy career he served in Hospitals, Clinics, Education Commands, with the Marine Corps and retired as the Deputy Surgeon General of the Navy. Since retirement he has been the CEO of Martin and Associates( a consulting firm in Washington DC), served as a consultant to the President's Task Force to Improve Health Care Delivery  for our Nations Veterans, and was the Vice President for Leadership Development and Training at TriWest Healthcare Alliance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peter Herrmann retired from an active professional career in the advertising and marketing business in 2007. Prior to opening his own firm in 1980 where specialized in providing those services to an established list of clients primarily in the land and golf course industry he worked for such well-known communications companies as Young & Rubicam,  LaRoche, McCaffrey & McCall and Foote, Cone & Belding In New York and Arizona. His experience primarily in the marketing area included working on such national accounts as Pfizer and Textron.

 

His military career was spent as an enlisted member of the U. S. Army first with the 85th Infantry Division and later with the 324th ASA Battalion.

He is also a member of the board of directors of the Smithsonian Affiliated Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum.

 

 

David Lakamp served on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer in the S-3B and P-3C.

He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and earned his MBA in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.

 

David joined USAA in May 2007. He has served in various strategy, staff and operational positions. Originally from Henderson, KY, and blessed with a beautiful family, David has had the pleasure to represent USAA on VMLC since early 2014.
